About the Gallery and Artworks
The Eduard Isabekyan Gallery is a prominent art gallery in Yerevan.
The gallery, founded in 2004 and opened in 2013, is dedicated to the life and work of the honored Armenian painter Eduard Isabekyan. It features a permanent exhibition that includes 28 significant paintings donated by his son, Aram Isabekyan, as well as manuscripts, letters, and photographs.
Key aspects of the collection include:
Large-scale epical paintings: The circular-shaped top floor houses many of his large works, often depicting historical and patriotic themes.
Notable artworks: Famous paintings on display or associated with the artist's work include "The Battle of Avarayr", "The Entry of the 11th Army into Yerevan", "Davit Bek”, and "Reply to Yazdegerd".
Diverse genres: In addition to historical pieces, the gallery also exhibits vivid portraits, landscapes of Armenian nature, and scenes from daily life, showcasing the breadth of his artistic styles.
The gallery actively participates in Yerevan's cultural life by organizing various events, lectures, and meetings dedicated to exploring Isabekyan as a painter, writer, and educator.
